Kawashiro Gorge, located in Tamba-Sasayama, Hyogo Prefecture, is a stunning natural valley that showcases the beauty of Japan’s four seasons. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom along the riverbanks, and in autumn, the mountains come alive with vivid red and gold foliage. The gorge runs alongside the clear Sasayama River and offers a peaceful retreat ideal for hiking, scenic drives, and photography. Especially during the fall, the reflection of colorful leaves on the river creates a magical atmosphere. Don’t miss the view from the suspension bridge—it’s a hidden gem where you can truly feel the power and serenity of nature.

At the entrance of the park, there is a large pedestrian suspension bridge spanning approximately 90 meters in length and standing 9.1 meters above the surface of the Sasayama River.

From the bridge, visitors can enjoy a variety of scenic views, including the geological strata of the Sasayama Group, the flowing waters of the river, and the vibrant autumn foliage of the Kawashiro Gorge.
